Lent is here; no beer?
Today is Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. (Had an interesting conversation last night on all these pagan rooted Christian observances). I have never been too good about sacrificing anything and focusing instead on my relationship with Jesus during these 40 days but I am at a much more intentional place in my faith now and am making an effort to at least spend more time in prayer and serving others instead of myself.
My good friend Will has an interesting challenge that I think I will take him up on. Of course I drink a lot of wine (in comparison to beer) but I don’t want to give that up!
Anyone else “fasting” this lenten season? Catholic friends; I am down for some fish and chips on Fridays…
I am—but already messed up on Thursday…so not sure what that leaves me…
You just have to keep trying!
